Michelle Bartholomew DVM
Dr. Bartholomew is a native of Salt Lake City. She is a graduate of Westminster College and received her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University in 1998. She is a very caring and talented doctor in medicine and surgery who enjoys the challenges of emergency animal care as well as routine wellness care. Dr. Bartholomew has a black terrier mix named Salty. Salty was a rescue adoption from Hawaii. She enjoys hiking, camping, skiing, fly fishing and spending time with her family. Dr. Bartholomew enjoys working with people and their pets and always has a kind word for all.
Dr. Bean joined the Hillside team in January 2017. Previously, she practiced small animal medicine in Baltimore, MD. Dr. Bean hails from a small town in the foothills of the Sierra Nevadas. She completed her undergraduate education on the big island of Hawaii and veterinary school at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California. Dr. Bean's interests include surgery and strengthening the human-animal bond for the betterment of both species. She also has a huge soft spot for working dogs. Dr. Bean is happy to be back in the West exploring the mountains and trails we are lucky enough to live in. When not treating her patients, you can find her hiking with her dog Camper, camping or snowboarding.
Jillian Burchett DVM
Dr. Burchett is a Utah native who joined the Hillside team in 2018. She received her bachelor's degree in Biology and French from Lake Forest College in 2003 and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Washington State University in 2008. She loves working in Utah, where the clients share her same passion for the outdoors and a deep love for our animal companions. She looks forward to establishing a trusting and personal bond with her clients and their animal family. Her special interests include senior care, internal medicine and neurology. Currently, Dr. Burchett lives in Draper with her husband Dominic, a Battalion Chief for Unified Fire Authority, her four kids Ivy, Tommy, Allison & Ruby. She has Rusty the doodle, Daisy the cavalier, Moo Cherry, Alex the kitties & Rosie the bunny.
Angela Guinn DVM
Dr. Guinn was born in Salt Lake City, UT, where she performed some undergraduate studies before moving to Oklahoma to be with family and attend school. First at East Cental University in Ada, OK, receiving a bachelor's degree in Chemistry and Biology then Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, OK, at the Center for Veterinary Health Science graduating as a veterinarian in 2013. Prior to moving back to Salt Lake, Angela worked as a mentored associate veterinarian at a companion animal clinic in Ada under Dr. Tim Eaker for ten months. She also owned and practiced veterinary medicine at a mobile veterinary care service in Konawa for 6 months. Since returning to Utah, she has worked with companion animals at three different types of hospitals including emergency care, small companion animal care and some exotic pet care facilities for the last 4 years before joining the Hillside team. Angela loves working with pets of all kinds, especially cats, dogs, reptiles and pocket pets. Though she is not a wildlife/exotic certified she does strive to help where she can with all types of animals. Her areas of medical interest include ophthalmology, surgery and preventative care. At home, she enjoys the companionship of her pets, which include three cats and one amazing pug named Jazz. When she's not busy with her duties at the hospital, she enjoys cooking, hiking, or doing working in the garden.
Corinna "Cori" Esdorn DVM Dr. Esdorn grew up in California & New York with dogs, cats and horses. She graduated from Stanford University in 2009 and the University of California Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 2017. As a veterinarian, some of her areas of interest are dermatology, soft tissue surgery, infectious diseases, and treatment of companion goats and backyard chickens. She loves getting to follow patients through all of their life stages. Dr. Esdorn moved to Utah in 2017, and is so excited to finally live close to the mountains, as she loves hiking with her german shepherd Merry, camping, snowshoeing and skiing. When the weather is less inviting, she can be found baking up a storm.

Kris has been a part of the Hillside team since 2002. She has a dog named Rita; six cats Ezie, Herman, Chess, Alice, Chickey, Jupiter; and a turtle names Cylde. Kris and 2 amazing kids. Her favorite part of working at Hillside is the great care we get to give to our patient's and all the great clients.
Julia has been part of the Hillside team since 1986. She worked at Brickyard Animal Hospital in the early 80's, worked at Hulen Hills Veterinary Hospital in Ft. Worth, Texas from 1983-84. Her hobbies include running, crafting, reading and spending time at her cabin in the Uintas every weekend in the summer. Julia has been married for 34 years and has 2 beautiful daughters. She has a dog named Henry. He is the best dog on the planet! She had the 2nd best dog, Cosmo, the sock eating standard poodle as well. The thing Julia loves the most about working at Hillside is the fantastic group of dedicated co-workers. She has love for all animals.
Cassie: CVT & VPM
Cassie graduated from Utah Career College with her associates in Veterinary Technology in 2004. Recently, she received her undergraduate certificate in Veterinary Practice Management in 2019. Cassie worked at a small animal pratice in Bountiful, Utah for 10 years. She has been part of the Hillside team since 2014. She has three dogs named Naomi, Dutch & Alan. She loves to go running, camping, hiking & paddle boarding. Her favorite part of working at Hillside is patient care, client education and surgery.
Stacy has been part of the Hillside team since 2016. She worked at All Pet Complex in Sandy, Utah in 1989 and VCA Raleigh Hills in Oregon. She passed VTNE in 2006. Stacy has a dog name George and 2 cats named LB & Zoe. She enjoys spending her time playing video games and hanging out with her husband and son. Her favorite part about working at Hillside is caring for animals.
Arianna has been part of the Hillside team since 2016. She is pre-veterinary student attending the University of Utah and will be graduating with a bachelor's degree in biology in the Spring of 2019. Her favorite part about working at Hillside is getting to know our patients and becoming familiar with each of their unique personalities. She enjoys hiking, cooking and crafting.
Mikaela has been part of the Hillside team since 2018. She attended JATC 2013-2014 in the Veterinary Assisant/Technician program. She worked at VCA All Pet Animal Hospital for 2 year before joining Hillside. She loves music, cake (lots of frosting),roses, socks and all animals. Growing up her dream job was to be a veterinarian but realized being a veterinary technician and getting to do the dirty work is her favorite part. Mikaela has a cat named Snickers, Lulu & Harley the dogs and pac-man the snake. Her favorite part of working at Hillside is building relationships with our clients, patients and the dedicated co-workers.
Talese has been part of the Hillside team since 2015. She is attending the University of Utah, studying to get a degree as a PA and specialize in pediatric trauma. When Talese is not at Hillside or school, she is a cheer coach at UPA. She also is a coach for special needs kids. She loves working with kids of all different ages, backgrounds, strengths & how amazing they are. She has 3 dogs, Whiskey, Salem & Jack. Her favorite thing about working at Hillside is client & patient interaction. Holding cute puppies is a bonus as well.
Lesa has been part of the Hillside team since July 2018. She spent the majority of her career in the non profit sector including a woman's shelter and animal shelter. Her favorite part of working at Hillside is meeting all the pets that come in for care and learning how the clinic operates. "So much happens behind the scenes! As a client, I had no idea how hard everyone was working for my pets." Lesa has lived in 7 states. Hawaii was her favorite. She is also a mother of 4 human children and 3 canine children.
